A Long Overdue Darling Deers Kawaii Store Update~!

Darling Deers Kawaii has been long overdue when it comes to an update! Over the last few weeks and several snow days I have been able to design whole new items for DDK!

These include one of a kind necklaces which will never be seen again once they sell out, lots of cute vintage charms, and handmade favorites like the moon charms now found on the Moon Princess line of necklaces!

Making these items and rekindled my love of making all these cute and sharing them with the people around me! Be expectant of more updates in the near future!

Thank you all for keeping me inspired and in love with
Japanese street fashion!

Stay Kawaii ♥ Stay Pastel ♥ Stay Darling

Black Craft Cult and The Bower Studio Mini Haul + Update

It has been almost a year since my last post. In this time I have graduated from university, started REALLY selling vintage toys, sheets, board games, and the like on Ebay, and have been thinking of new items, and building prototypes of items to add to Darling Deers Kawaii for 2014! I've been thinking about moving on to graduate school-- I've been playing with the idea of going back to creative writing for a master's degree, social work, or library sciences. Enough about me! On to the haul~

I did some small ordering from two stores I have been watching for a while-- Black Craft Cult and The Bower Studio. First, I will talk about The Bower Studio.

The Bower Studio has some very cute and interesting soaps-- the things I've had my eyes on. When Christmas began to creep around the corner I finally caved and bought two soaps from them-- one for my friend Katey and one for myself. The two soaps I finally chose in the end were the Bird Skull Soap and the Amethyst Crystal Soap

Both of these items reminded me of something you would find in a curiosities cabinet-- something I have been aching to begin collecting for. So, my love of all things creepy and natural have caught up to me. The bird skull soap is going to sit on a shelf in my bedroom with my actual amethyst. The amethyst soap is for my friend Katey! She loves these kinds of things too and I thought it would be a good little gift for her.
Both soaps are gorgeous and super neat to look at! They were packaged very nicely-- each soap is wrapped in a shrink plastic to keep them from being damaged and then in little display boxes so you see them as soon as you open the package. Very nice!

Finally, I ordered a t-shirt from Black Craft Cult! For Black Friday they had a sale for 40% off of their items! I took full advantage of this shirt and bought one of the t-shirts I have been eyeing, the Within a Dream, Edgar Allan Poe. I was super excited when this came in the mail! It reminds me of my love of literature, poetry, creative minds, and, of course, Poe.

All in all, I feel like both of these were great purchases I made over the last couple of weeks. I can't wait to give my friend her gift and I can't wait to wear my new shirt!

Here's to a happy holiday, everyone!

ムチャチャ←→あちゃちゅむ 2013 Special Gift Box

ムチャチャ←→あちゃちゅむ
Muchacha Achachumu released a special gift box item which made its way to Kinokuniya's website in early February. When I first purchased the item I assumed it would all be like the previous mook items. Soon after it arrived on Thursday and opened the box-- I learned this wasn't the case.

The items came in a gorgeous cat box-- reusable and absolutely adorable. I am currently thinking of a use for it other than just for looks. Mook gifts usually come in cardstock boxes and come along with a book of upcoming seasonal items. This was a box set-- meant to be seen as a gift to the customers and loyal fans of the brand. It bypassed being a mook at that moment.

Inside of the box there was the purse, a hardcover book of postcards in various designs, and a scarf with the white cat design on it. All of the items were beautiful and the bag is very well made-- a nice quality. The purse is small but can hold essentials. It has small handles and then a chain strap for wearing the bag on your shoulder. The postcards book has over 20 postcards which are all easily removed from the hardcover book with a simple tug. The scarf is large-- about the size of a basic bandanna (possibly a bit larger).

All in all, the gift set from Muchacha Achachumu is adorable and totally worth it for fans of their designs.

ムチャチャ←→あちゃちゅむ 2012 Autumn&Winter // Muchacha Achachumu Mook Review

Early in December I received a package in the mail from Kinokuniya Bookstores of America. It was a very, very exciting day to receive mail because it was long awaited! Since the new mooks came out I had been saving random money, stray dollar bills and change, to allow myself to spend some money on an unnecessary but totally adorable bag!

The mook (magazine book, a catalog of upcoming seasonal items) actually came within a week of ordering it-- this includes the night I purchased the item. The item came through FedEx in a bubble mailer. Once I came home from school I found the package leaned against the stairs. Knowing what it was, I quickly scooped it up and brought it upstairs to my bedroom.

A review of the bag follows the images below!

Much like the other Muchacha Achachumu bag I have purchased this one came with a main bag and a miniature change purse cat bag which dangles from a chain. Much like before both bags, for mook items, are both very well made and adorable! The main bag has a zipper to keep the bag closed-- this is something I personally like my bags to have. I like to carry around several items in my bag and I like the assurance they will stay in there due to a zipper holding the bag closed.

The designs of both totes are very cute cats!
Unlike the last season's tote this season depicts cats upside down. From the zipper is a cute little tail and depending on which side of the tote it turned to you there are cute little paws clasped together at the top.

In the end, I feel like these bags are all totally worth it when you are buying the legit items and from such a great and helpful business!

ムチャチャ←→あちゃちゅむ 2012 Autumn&Winter // Muchacha Achachumu Mook

The Autumn/Winter season of mooks has come and ムチャチャ←→あちゃちゅむ (Muchacha Achachumu) has released their seasonal mook!  The true release was sometime in October. For those who love mooks, it is best to know the months when the Spring/Summer and the Autumn/Winter mooks release or else you might find them too late!
This mook has been on Kinokuniya bookstore bestseller list for the mook section this week and last week (at least, for the US store). The bag, with shipping, is in the 40+ dollar range but, like before, this bag honestly is a deal. On other websites this bag makes it into the 70+ dollar range. Some sellers on Ebay have even passed this 70+  USD dollar amount.

Along with this amazingly cute mook the interface for the Kinokuniya US bookstores has updated to something much more  attractive and now, to be a customer, you must register your information (make an account). This along with the much more attractive layout and search- shopping using Kinokuniya has become much, much easier.

A review for this bag will be coming soon.
Please look out for it.

I am honestly super excited for another cat themed tote bag.

Kawaii Bobo: Kawaii Haul/Review

Hello, Darlings~! Sorry about the delay in posting a new entry but work has been taking up most of my time and the fact that school starts in less than a week is also starting to take up my time (and money). Anyways, lets continue on!

Kawaii Bobo is a really great store to find rare/hard to find kawaii stationary items as well as newer items (memo pads, sticker flakes, etc). The price of her items reflect how hard it is to find the item. Below, the two large origami memo pads were 8 dollars each (steep for memo pads) but the items are rather hard to find elsewhere so I was happy to buy them for my collection! The sticker sacks were also a few dollars more than usual but the mini memo pad was a regularly priced item (and so cute too)!

♫♪ Review:
Out of FIVE ♥s

Communication: ♥♥♥
You really do not get many messages from this seller but her simply sending a message to tell you your items have been shipped can be seen as enough. I have never had any problems with her items so I am unsure of how her customer service is when something goes awry.

Shipping/Packaging: ♥♥♥♥♥
Shipping for her items are always well priced, packaged nicely, and she gets tracking for your order! Tracking is a big, big deal and shows that the seller is cautious.

Items: ♥♥♥♥♥
Her items are great for people who have been collecting kawaii items for a long while now and are looking for certain items, more rare items, older items. Her store is also great for the people who have recently come into kawaii but are looking for certain memos and sticker flakes that have become hard to find/rare before they were able to get into kawaii. The only thing is, between new people and people who have been collecting a long amount of time- who would be more likely to spend a little more? Probably the person who has been looking for a certain memo or sticker sack for months to add to their already large collection.

13 out of 15 hearts~!

A really good rating for Kawaii Bobo!

Kawaii Shop Japan: Haul

Hello~!
It has been a little while since I have posted a new blog about things I have bought recently. Work has been getting in the way of my free time and blogging has become something that is a little harder to do (I am sure school will have the same effect when it comes back around).

Anyways,

A few weeks back I received a little extra money and spent it on some kawaii items~! I bought several sticker sacks, a couple of memo pads, and many packs of kawaii pencil caps (something I am thinking about having a collection of, which I already basically do). I took pictures of all if it so you all could see everything! I hope you enjoy~!
